Studio Luce is a new writing retreat and artist residency based in the exotic, El Paredón, Guatemala.

At Studio Luce, our artist-in-residence program is designed to give you the time, space, and freedom to explore your craft without external pressures. Located in the serene beachside village of El Paredón, Guatemala, Studio Luce offers an immersive and hands-off residency experience tailored to your creative needs.

What to Expect at Studio Luce

We understand that every artist and writer works differently, so we allow you to set your own schedule and goals. This is your time to focus on your process, whether that means creating new work, revising drafts, or simply finding inspiration in a beautiful setting. While there’s no requirement to complete a project during your stay, we’re here to support you with check-ins, engaging conversations, and insights about El Paredón and Guatemala’s vibrant culture.

Though the residency is self-directed, we encourage a spirit of collaboration and community. Shared meals, local experiences, and informal exchanges with fellow artists often spark fresh ideas and connections.
